Emma is Associate General Counsel and Head of OpenAI Ireland, working at the nexus of AI strategy, privacy policy and technology at the company’s European headquarters in Dublin. Prior to joining OpenAI in 2023, Emma worked with tech innovators for over 15 years, having held senior positions at Stripe, Ancestry, LinkedIn and Conversant. She is also a member of the Government of Ireland’s AI Advisory Council and is adjunct professor at UCD Sutherland School of Law. Emma was educated at UCD, TCD and Kings Inns.
