Sharon Walsh is Senior Vice President at Fidelity Investments, where she leads the Brokerage Technology & Product Strategy and Delivery Enablement function. She also serves as one of Fidelity’s Ireland Regional Leaders, helping shape the company’s strategic direction across the region.
Since joining Fidelity in Boston in 1997, Sharon has held a range of technology leadership roles across multiple business units. In 2013, she returned to Ireland to continue her career with Fidelity, bringing deep expertise and a global perspective to her current role.
Beyond Fidelity, Sharon is deeply engaged in Ireland’s technology ecosystem. She is the Chair of the Innovation Technology AtlanTec Gateway (ITAG) board, which fosters innovation and collaboration in the West of Ireland through flagship events and initiatives. A passionate advocate for Women in Technology, Sharon actively supports community-building efforts through both Fidelity and ITAG. Her contributions were recognized with the ITAG Digital Women’s Excellence Award in 2019.
Sharon also serves as a Council Member of Technology Ireland, the country’s largest tech industry organization. From 2022 to 2025, she was a member of the inaugural External Advisory Board for the J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics at the University of Galway.
In 2023, Sharon was honoured as one of the Women Mean Business Ambassadors for Gender Diversity, reflecting her commitment to inclusive leadership.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Galway.
